MONTREUX ROCKS ON
Eagle to Release DVD Sets by Ray Charles and Jamiroquai in October
New York, NY—(October 2, 2007)Eagle Rock Entertainment will release two more major Montreux moments on DVD in October from its acclaimed Live At Montreux series.
On October 30, it's the Grammy Award-winning British band Jamiroquai, Live At Montreux 2003. Spearheaded by their breakout 1996 Traveling Without Moving CD, this action-packed funk/soul/disco group has sold over 2.5 million records but is best experienced live when frontman Jason "Jay" Kay has room to move. This 16-song, two hour+ set (retail: $14.98) includes their signature "acid jazz" as well as a liberal sprinkling of material from their entire career. And check out that 1995 "Space Cowboy" bonus track!
On October 30, The Genius, Brother Ray, the immortal who originally fused gospel to rhythm'n'blues, practically inventing soul in the process, goes Live At Montreux 1997 . This hot July night in Switzerland seethes and sweats with the force of this exhilarating hour (retail: $14.98) featuring saxophonist Al Jackson, The Ray Charles Orchestra, The Raelettes and, of course, the man himself, singing not only The State Song Of Georgia ("Georgia On My Mind") and his #1 music blockbuster "I Can't Stop Loving You," but such down'n'dirty gutbucket crunchers as "Mississippi Mud," "Watch Them Dogs" and a "What'd I Say" finale. Another highlight includes Ray practically re-inventing "Just For A Thrill" and "You Made Me Love You" in heartbreakingly dramatic fashion.
Eagle Rock Entertainment develops, acquires and produces music programming for a wide range of notable and high profile artists, which the company distributes on a worldwide basis. Eagle Rock Entertainment, Eagle Vision and Eagle Eye Media are wholly owned divisions of Eagle Rock Group, LTD.
